School Council meets once per month and all are welcome to attend. Please join us and hear updates from your School Council and our IPS Principal. Email notifications will be sent out prior to each meeting.

IPS SCHOOL COUNCIL MISSION STATEMENT
To enhance communication, create involvement, foster community and provide fundraising support to IPS school community.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
IPS School Council is comprised of a minimum of 3 parent executive positions, school principal, and a teacher representative. Parent members are parents or guardians with a child enrolled in the school. Positions are held for a one-year term. There are no restrictions on the number of times that a member can be re-elected. Election of School Council executive to be held within the first 30 days of the calendar school year. All parents are invited to attend all School Council meeting.
School Councils are a part of Ontario's Education Act, and the Ministry of Education has a document explaining the process (click here for the document). The TDSB has a policies for fundraising as well (click here for the fundraising guide).

Parent Volunteers ~ We always welcome all volunteers into the school, but in order to volunteer in the classroom you must have a current TDSB approved police check. If you have completed a police check in the past, please check in with the office to complete your annual offence declaration. If you need to have a police check completed, please contact the school office at 416-393-1910 for the necessary paperwork.
